teve Murphy established the business some thirty five years ago operating one log truck carting for local sawmills.
Opportunity to grow the business saw the one truck operation steadily expand over the years to its present size, being the largest transport business carting logs and woodchip in Canterbury. Chris Murphy, Steve’s son joined the company in 1993 progressing from driving through all aspects of the business to his present role as General Manager and is also a 50% shareholder in the company.
The company depot situated on Main North Road, Kaiapoi has offices and purpose built workshop where all vehicles are maintained serviced and cleaned. Administration, dispatch and general management of day to day business is also on this site which provides good vehicle storage and excellent access North and South via State Highway One.

The Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre is an indoor heated aquatic facility open year-round with a 6-lane 25 metre main pool, a learners pool with a waterfall into the toddlers pool.
This aquatic facility was rebuilt after suffering significant damage in the February 2011 earthquake and reopened in August 2013.

Bowden Consultancy was established in 1997 by Michael Bowden.
The company was set up initially to assist individuals and businesses that required specialist expertise in water resources engineering involving hydrology, hydraulics and water resource systems including flood control and drainage.
In 2002 Bowden Consultancy Limited started trading under the name Bowden Environmental. The new name better reflected the focus of the organisation and started a new era for the company.

Pilates - is a lot of interest here - probably looking to do one night time class 7-8 Monday or Thursday and a daytime - maybe Tuesday or Thursday 0900-1000 or so. Classes would be a max of 6 - 8 people once I figure the floor space - booked for a 5 week block for $75 for the five weeks whether you make the class or not. Keen to know peoples preference for days and times.
I will be working close on fulltime at Silverstream for the next couple of months - approx hours 8-8 Mon and Thurs and 0900 - 1500 ish the other days - is some flexibility here. Another senior level physio will join us in Oct who will take over the shorter days from 0900 - 1445. Potentially as we grow another physio that I have done a lot of work with will join us as well - maybe after Xmas.
Hugely privileged to have a comprehensive team of senior level physios who will be working from Silverstream to provide full physio and rehab service. Coupled with Corrie doing podiatry - Silverstream will become a one stop shop for your health needs.
