My name is Brent Cairns, I currently represent you as a member of the Kaiapoi Tuahiwi Community Board. At the 2022 elections I would like to represent you at Council.
As Chair of Kaiapoi Food Forest I passionately educate others to grow their own food, aiming to have food forests throughout the district, in schools and in peoples own backyards.
As Chair for Neighbourhood Support North Canterbury I want to help build safe, friendly, resilient communities. As Trustee for All Together Kaiapoi, helping put on events, makes for a vibrant communities. A former volunteer for St John being on Waimakariri health advisory board, aiming to build healthy communities. I belong to GreyPower so as to make sure their voices are heard.
6 years ago I created an online directory www.Kaiapoi.info encouraging residents to Support, Shop and Eat Local. A valuable informative tool helping local businesses and clubs.
My wife Shirley and I own a photography and sculpture business where we have exported our artwork to 15 different countries.
