KAIAPOI
Hi there!
I am a fully nationally and internationally qualified
Beauty Therapist and Nail Technician. In 2010 I completed my diploma in Beauty Therapy and Applied Aesthetics and over the next few years I continued to work in various salons around Christchurch upskilling and gaining valuable experience.
Whilst on maternity leave with my second daughter in 2016, I decided to upskill in multiple Nail art courses to add to my resume. It was through these courses I discovered my love and passion for all things Nails, and persued my certificate in Nail Technology in 2017.
It was always my absolute dream to design and work in my very own salon and the goals do not stop there, I am excited to take you all along with me on my exciting journey!
I have a huge passion for Beauty and Nails, and love everything about how a luxurious pamper makes my clients feel! The aroma, the beautiful products, the calming music, a vibe a salon gives off, all contributes to my love for this industry! I take pride in my work giving my full attention to detail, and find the impact of my treatments on my clients to be very rewarding – whether that is a warming and relaxing facial in amongst or to end their busy day or a much needed brow or nail makeover!
I believe my clients deserve the very best and I will go above and beyond for them while they are in my warm, clean and cozy salon with an ambience that I have carefully created.
I stock and use products and brands of a high standard and will be forever expanding my knowledge in this ever growing industry – it’s part of the fun!

Friendly, local, reliable, trustworthy and always on time ready to get the job done.
The Little Leather Co. was born in 2013, in a city still getting back on its feet after devastating earthquakes two years prior. With a declining leather industry set back even further by the Christchurch earthquakes, Little Leather set out to produce something new and exciting and to keep skills alive in an aging workforce.
Worldwide, fashion is a typically homogenised, mass produced industry, pumping out items that will last one season. Little Leather isn’t concerned with fashion. It’s about style. Every Little Leather piece is made to order and carefully constructed to last beyond trends.
All Little Leather bags are designed and made from it’s small workshop just north of Christchurch, New Zealand. Using beautiful, quality leather from around the world, and fur only from NZ, Little Leather crafts leather bags that are unique, functional, well made and designed to stand the test of time.
The National Scout Museum is in the Conference Wing of the building complex at the “Blue Skies” Conference and Training Centre in Kaiapoi – North Canterbury.
It has a permanent display detailing the history of Scouting in New Zealand starting from Baden Powell’s story and his founding of the movement, before covering the origins of Scouting in New Zealand. Kaiapoi features strongly in the New Zealand history of Scouting being where the first Scout Patrol is reputed to have been formed and early camps were held at Woodend where today a memorial cairn is located. There were many unique aspects that were introduced by Col D.Cossgrove (the first Dominion Chief Scout) who taught at the school in Tuahiwi, such as Peace Scouts, Bull Pups, and Empire Sentinels. It then covers the various age group sections and major activities of the movement. In addition to the permanent display, the museum has an extensive specialized collection of a wide array of Scouting material.
Queries and research within the collection is undertaken on request by a team of volunteer staff.
Sunday from 1pm to 4pm or alternatively by arrangement. Guided tours can be provided, also by arrangement.

Allan and Andrea have been creating our garden of sculptures since 1993. We started with a bare paddock . Today it is an established garden with paths and ponds and full of art at every turn. Allan O’Loughlin is a sculptor of steel. He has created the most amazing collection of his sculptures /art you’ll see in a garden setting. It is unique, quirky and entertaining. There are sitting areas throughout, a grand table under a massive steel chandelier, all created by Allan. When you visit you are welcome to bring a picnic and relax in the shelter of our garden. “The Rusty Acre” has been developed mainly due to my passion for home decor and restyling furniture , I just like nice things. I am a registered nurse and have a busy job in a operating theatre, The Rusty Acre gives me that chance to free my spirit and to express to myself. My shop is full of beautiful home items, soaps, candles, jewelry, french furniture and personally collected brocante items. I love the feeling you have when you buy something special and it gives you that nice feeling inside every time you look / smell or touch it. I hope to offer that to my customers when they visit The Rusty Acre.
