The Little Leather Co. was born in 2013, in a city still getting back on its feet after devastating earthquakes two years prior. With a declining leather industry set back even further by the Christchurch earthquakes, Little Leather set out to produce something new and exciting and to keep skills alive in an aging workforce.
Worldwide, fashion is a typically homogenised, mass produced industry, pumping out items that will last one season. Little Leather isn’t concerned with fashion. It’s about style. Every Little Leather piece is made to order and carefully constructed to last beyond trends.
All Little Leather bags are designed and made from it’s small workshop just north of Christchurch, New Zealand. Using beautiful, quality leather from around the world, and fur only from NZ, Little Leather crafts leather bags that are unique, functional, well made and designed to stand the test of time.
We are a small company passionate about growing high quality, organic herbs which we handcraft into herbal teas, herbal blends and herbal skin products.
Hi, I’m Cathy, I founded Tuahiwi Herbs because I am passionate about growing herbs and using them in ways that enhance their healing properties. I particularly like blending herbal teas as there is such a wide range of flavours and medicinal benefits to be gained from a well blended tea.
I have always been interested in growing and using herbs and starting growing my first herb garden when I was a teenager. I completed an apprenticeship in herbal medicine and since then have been growing herbs for herbal teas and products.
I believe that the healing properties of herbs can only be harnessed by using herbs grown in the best conditions for each plant without using toxic chemicals. If you are using herbs for their medicinal benefits, then it is very important to know how and where the herbs were grown. My herbal teas and herbal products use only herbs that I have grown on my own property in Tuahiwi, North Canterbury, or wild crafted locally.

Be Inspired, this is my take on Chefs in the “New World of Technology”. It’s the visionary in the kitchen to be on top of one’s game, a leader, coach and empowering guru who keep things in sync. It’s the “Chef”
Whether you aspire to be a Chef in Multi – Michelin Starred Restaurants, Sky Scraper Hotels, Catering and Hospitality establishments, wanting to work in a Cafe or Restaurant or start your own company, this will all be possible with the cutting – edge technology learning programs that will prepare and able you to gain the necessary tools in order to do so. But the reality of it all starts at the very beginning on asking the questions: What now, where and how to get started?
An understanding is that everyone aspires to be a “Star Chef”, in this fast pace, techno and social media wonderful world we live and breathe right now! This ‘new era’ way of being educated online, with International Culinary Studio, would not only be done all on your individual steam and pace, but with the resource’s available within our teaching modules, by only a touch of a button from your media devices.
As an Executive Chef, in my experience, it is the responsibility to inspire, educate and motivate the team. It’s not just about producing the finest food possible, but also the financial and business aspects as to how and what makes it work out in this fast pace industry we all have a passion for.
As a Chef, one day, you will be a master of multi–tasking, split–second decision-making and the humbleness in handling criticism well. You will still wake up with determination and then go to bed with satisfaction!
