Spending local – no brainer – why wouldnt you???

A directory with all local businesses and groups featured helps residents to Support, Shop and Eat Local…

How can people support local if they dont know whats there…Localised marketing is far more effecient and with successful businesses comes increased staff numbers, which in turn encourages more businesses to set up locally.

Buying locally is playing your part for the enviornment.Buying locally means any dollar spent is multiplied by 5 as it becomes a circular economy.

I want to see Council to do the same, Support local… they are the largest spender…make that spending local

Marketing district costs $630,000

Marketing the district, showcasing what the area has ensures business growth and more jobs for locals. This is a competitive market…it needs to be done so well.
With thousands of people driving past, having an effective website with quality information is crucial to pulling the spending public off the motorway….to come visit our towns
I want to see the $630, 000 Ratepayers money spent by Council spent more effeciently… ie Visit Waimakariri website undersells each town because it only promotes businesses that pay them… yet those same business through their rates pay for marketing…so ENC is double dipping. ENC run the I-site and loses money each year, whilst other I-sites are closing everywhere as people go online to book travel. Ratepayers in the Waimakariri prop up something that is a waste of money. Further more the Waimakariri is the worst performing district as it relates to bringing in domestic tourist $$$$.

A website that will promote the district, showcasing the points of difference, something we are paying for yet its not being achieved.

Kaiapoi businesses make sure your info on Google is upto date

I have been on Google…yes yet again…
Google is relied upon by virtually everyone to find something someone…so if you are in business, wouldnt it be logical to ensure that your information is upto date
I was looking for cafes in Kaiapoi and of course hair dressers..
Here is what I found and would encourage every Kaiapoi Business to search for their business in google maps..and simply add it for FREE.
Add your business to the map
  1. Open Google Maps and make sure you’re signed in.
  2. Zoom in to the map where you want to add your business.
  3. In the bottom right, click Report a problem.
  4. Click Add a missing place.
  5. Drag the marker where you business is, and add any relevant information.
  6. Click Submit.
